Region I Assistance Team's Mission
The mission of the Region I Assistance Team is to assist local educational agencies in building the capacity to make consistent, fiscally-sound decisions. To accomplish this, Region I Assistance Team will focus on developing and maintaining a well-trained, highly-supported school business workforce in districts and county offices throughout Region I. Upon the request of clients who experience fiscal distress, foresee fiscal difficulties, or experience temporary technical staff vacancies, Region I Assistance Team will provide support and/or resources to assist clients to achieve fiscally-sound stability.
Region I Goal and Objectives
Goal: To expand the capacity of client staff skills necessary for consistent, fiscally-sound decision making.
Objective #1: Determine regional needs, their priority and deliver services to meet those needs in the framework of the attached budget.
Objective #2: Intervention:
Assist clients experiencing or foreseeing fiscal difficulties to achieve stability and return to a fiscally-sound position.
Objective #3: Training:
Build a well-trained, highly-supported school business workforce that will provide uninterrupted, consistent sound fiscal and financial direction. To further this objective, RFAT staff and financial resources will be provided to support the CBO Education Partnership Training Program in Region 1. This program begins in January 2007 and concludes in June 2008.
Objective #4: Non-Recurring Technical Support:
Assist clients in avoiding financial distress or legal liability due to staff vacancies.
